After a hiatus of many years, the long-awaited "NUU Bajia Marathon" is officially making its grand return!

National United University (NUU) will grandly host the "2026 NUU Bajia Marathon" on Saturday, October 31, 2026 (the 31st day of the 10th month of the 115th year of the Republic of China). It has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Taiwan Triathlon Association, joining hands to create an annual running extravaganza that combines professional quality, athletic challenge, campus characteristics, and local charm. Runners, alumni, faculty, staff, students, and local residents from all over the country are cordially invited to participate and experience the beauty of Miaoli with their own feet, running toward health and glory.

Taking the Bajia Campus of National United University as the start and finish line, this event offers diverse categories including the Full Marathon (42 km), Half Marathon (21 km), Healthy Run Group (10 km), and Leisure Group (5 km). Whether you are an experienced runner challenging yourself or a member of the public wanting to experience the joy of running with family and friends, you can find a suitable stage for yourself.

The race route connects Miaoli City, Xihu Township, and Tongluo Township, offering views of mountain city landscapes, rural scenery, and the beautiful environment of the Bajia Campus along the way. In particular, the full marathon route will extend to the surrounding areas of the Tongluo Science Park, allowing runners to deeply experience the unique charm interwoven by Miaoli’s local industries and natural environment while challenging themselves.

In addition to the course experience, the organizing committee has planned rich finisher goodies, including event commemorative shirts, finisher medals, electronic certificates, sports towels, finisher gifts, and finish-line refreshments, ensuring that every runner who completes the challenge goes home with a full sense of accomplishment.

It is worth mentioning that to encourage faculty, staff, and students of our university to participate enthusiastically, the university is specifically offering a total of 485 registration fee subsidy slots. For the first 100 registrants who successfully sign up for the 42 km, 21 km, and 10 km categories, a subsidy of 400 NTD per person will be provided; the remaining subsidy slots will receive 350 NTD per person. The subsidy is limited to actual finishers and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until full. NUU members are welcome to rally classmates, colleagues, and teachers to form teams and participate, feeling the passion and vitality of NUU on the Bajia campus.

National United University stated that the Bajia Marathon is not only a running event, but also an important platform to unite the emotions of teachers and students, showcase a healthy campus, and implement university social responsibility. Through combining local characteristics, corporate participation, and the promotion of sports for all, the event aims to build the "NUU Bajia Marathon" into a representative brand race in the Miaoli region, allowing more people to get to know NUU, step into Miaoli, and fall in love with sports. Registration for the event will officially open at 3:00 PM on June 22, 2026, and will close on September 22, 2026, closing early if slots fill up. With limited spots available, runners nationwide and NUU alumni, teachers, and students are welcome to seize the opportunity and meet in Miaoli on October 31!
