About NUU

  National United University (NUU) was established in 1969 through joint funding from large state-owned enterprises as a vocational school. In 1995, it was reorganized as the National United College of Industry and Business, and in 1999, it was transformed into the National United Institute of Technology. Finally, in 2003, it was renamed as the National United University. The university consists of two campuses, the First Campus (Erping Shan) and the Second (Bajia) campuses, which are approximately 2.6 kilometers apart and cover a total area of 77 hectares. 
 

Educational Goals

  NUU focuses on integrating intelligent Green and Orange technology (i2GO Tech) as the main axis for its medium and long-term development. It strengthening fields of scientific research and industry collaboration, aims to establish a smart and sustainable campus. The university's mission is to advance research and academia, cultivate talents, enhance culture, serve society, promote national development, and contribute to human well-being and environmental sustainability. Guided by the university motto of " Honesty, Respect, Diligence, and Creativity" the university pursues four major visions: innovative teaching, interdisciplinary research, industry collaboration, and international engagement. Its commitment lies in integrating i2GO Tech, improving teaching quality, enhancing research capabilities, fulfilling social responsibilities, fostering Holistic education development, optimizing infrastructure, promoting international exchanges, and advancing institutional performance. The goal is to nurture professionals who are dedicated, innovative, socially responsible, and skilled in leadership and management. The university's self-recognition is as a "university that emphasizes both in-depth teaching and practical research.“

  In 2021, our university incorporated the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into our medium and long-term development plan. Concurrently, we established the Sustainability Committee. Apart from nurturing higher education talents, we aspire to keep pace with the times and move towards environmental protection, economic growth, social progress, and becoming a university with a vision for sustainable development and a sense of social responsibility.
